Geographical Coverage
SRB covers the Sydney Metropolitan region from Palm Beach in the north, Parramatta in the west, Sans Souci in the south and the eastern suburbs. SRB also provides cover on the Central Coast. Staff and contractors on work sites are provided with training and support, both from SRB’s corporate base and onsite, as required to ensure quality work that adheres to company and legislative standards.
Scope of Works
SRB specialises in remedial and rectification works, all building and insurance work. It is important to note that it does not undertake Greenfield site developments. By specialising in remedial and rectification work, SRB has developed the appropriate systems and processes to ensure projects are completed on time with a quality finish.
Further to this, with the focus on our core business, management’s time and resources are not distracted onto other business streams.
SRB projects range in size from $1,000 to $6 Million and includes the following:
Residential: All repairs and remedial work for all trades for homes and apartment/unit blocks
Waterproofing: All flashing work, liquid and sheet membranes, expansion joints and repairs to brickwork.
Civil Works: Underpinning of buildings, retaining walls, and investigative excavation.
Roof Systems: Removal and replacement of roof systems.
Façade Repairs: All concrete repairs, window repairs and replacement to high rise buildings.
Façade Refurbishments: Cement rendering of existing brick façade.
Protective Coatings: Sandblasting and coating of steel work, pipes, etc., also all epoxy floor systems.
Industrial Coatings: A full range of systems can be offered.
Source of Work
SRB is recognised within the industry for the integrity of its work and has undertaken several projects for the Home Owners Warranty Insurance Scheme through various insurance companies and consultants to repair and rectify faulty workmanship of other builders. This speaks of the quality of work and reliability demonstrated by SRB.
Training
Our supervisors receive training in customer service to ensure their building skills are complemented with an ability to service the client in a professional and competent manner.
SRB encourages and supports its subcontractors to undertake training and updates as required to ensure a high standard of work and adherence to current workplace standards and expectations.
SRB’s new contractors are provided with comprehensive induction and onsite training by supervisors and long standing contractors to ensure they are both competent and confident in performing their roles to the standard expected by SRB and its clients.
SRB does not have a training stream so where training is required, it is sourced through TAFE and private Registered Training Organisations to meet any training needs as they arise.
IT Capability
SRB operates administratively through its electronic network with all data stored on its secure server.
SRB offers clients the flexibility to communicate electronically (email) or by the more traditional methods of phone and facsimile. This flexibility ensures that both parties can remain informed particularly through the sharing of photographs and visuals that may be taken onsite as a record of work and issues. SRB has a number of digital cameras which may be used by staff or contractors as required or at the request of clients.
SRB’s data and network support is outsourced to a local business who understands the nature and needs of the business and provides responsive, efficient and economical service to ensure that SRB’s business operates without interruption and with minimal overheads to the company.
Cavity Camera
In a commitment to best practice, SRB also owns an Olympus camera; fibre optic cable and light source, which allows penetration into areas with problematic access with the minimum of building damage. The camera system is ideal for investigating the source of dampness problems and facilitates developing a solution for those problems.
